ABOUT US

Our dance studio in Štěpánská was opened by Julio Martinez in 2009. Julio is a professional tango teacher and a lecturer at Buenos Aires Tango University (today CETBA) who has worked in Prague since 1999, regularly coming to Prague to teach dance workshops. In 2003, Julio moved to Prague permanently and started teaching at Plaminek dance school that changed its location several times until finally settling in our current location, Štěpánska.

In 2015, Alexandra Atabekian took over running the studio and expanded their teaching to Plzen, where she hosts regular lessons in a beautiful space in the city center, on namesti Republiky.

Come join us and learn tango in a friendly and comfortable atmosphere. We are always looking to broaden our scope, and we will therefore gladly venture out to teach anywhere there will be a group of individuals interested in tango. Our language of instruction is Czech, but we can also arrange lessons in English, Spanish, and Russian.
